Javier Aureliano García
President of the Provincial Council of Almería
He has a degree in Law and has studies in Agricultural Engineering in the specialty of horticulture and gardening.
He has been a councilor of the City Council of Almería since 2003 (the longest-serving) and since 2011 has served as First Vice President and Spokesman of the government team of the Provincial Council of Almería. He has managed the Area of Presidency, Finance, Tourism and Employment and the coordination of all areas. In January 2019, he was elected President of the Provincial Council, after almost two terms as Vice President and Spokesman.
In July 2021, he is invested as the new president of the Popular Party in Almería, replacing Gabriel Amat after 17 years in office.
